Care and Cleaning!

These instructions are for any of our physical products, or (as general instructions) for your own projects. With my budget, I am limited to acrylic yarn and polyfil. I would love to switch to more eco friendly materials, but that's not quite an option just yet. I will, however, have a post about care and cleaning with those materials.

To start, anything with beading or buttons should be hand wash only. So for our deluxe bags with the tatted lace, hand wash is essential. If you just get a small, slight spill on it, dabbing gently with a damp washcloth and allowing to dry should take care of the problem. For a really dirty bag, add a little gentle detergent to a bowl of water, soak the bag in it, wring it out as much as you can, and leave to dry for a day or two.

When it comes to the corks and the other less delicate pieces, it should be safe enough to machine wash them, but only on cold and gentle cycles for wash and dry. I would also highly recommend using a delicates bag to keep your piece from getting stuck during the cycle. It may come out slightly "felted", or fluffier, but that also happens over time from handling, so if you're willing to risk it or not is up to you.

I hope that this clears up any questions you might have, please feel free to leave a comment if any come up! A good rule of thumb for any materials outside of what I mentioned here would be to use the cleaning instructions on the yarn ball itself.
